- Early Childhood Teacher Certification or completion of a three-credit Child Growth and Development course, or equivalent preferred
- Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting
- Knowledge of classroom preparation and record-keeping requirements
- Related school experience desirable
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Alternatives approved by the Director of Community Education
Childcare Supervisor and Director of Community Education
Job GoalAssist in the coordination of the Community Education Early Childhood Programs to ensure proper instruction and activities for students.
Performance Responsibilities- Start Date:
08/21/2025 - Salary: $18.25 – $20.40 per hour based on experience and education
- Program hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
- Work year: 186 days (180 school days, full professional day, day before school starts, one day after school ends, one set‑up day, one clean‑up day)
- Personal days: 3 days for personal, legal, business, religious, household or family matters (approved 5 school days prior, emergency may be oral)
- Sick days: 13 days
- Vacation: 4 days during December recess for 0‑4 years of service; 8 days during December and February recesses for 5‑14 years; 12 days during December, February and April recesses for more than 15 years
- Lunch break: 30 minutes; additional 15‑minute break scheduled by supervisor and teacher
Performance will be evaluated annually in writing by the Childcare Supervisor.
