Long-Term Substitute Grade 5-6 Chorus Teacher

Assignment Dates: 02/12/2026- 05/20/2026 Dates are subject to change
Description:
Teach daily grade 5-6 chorus classes and one weekly SEL class at Parker Middle School. Assess student progress toward meeting learning objectives in each framework domain (performing, connecting, responding, creating). Prepare students for the spring concert in May, lead them at school assemblies, and facilitate their particular in state and local music festivals.

Job Requirements- State licensure as a music teacher
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent with a major in Music.
- Excellent communication skills and capacity to foster cooperative team work.
- Good conducting skills and moderate piano skills.
- Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education mode.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
