Position: CHS After School Technical Director

Description:

The Tech Director will collaborate with the director of the fall musical and the competition play director, as well as CPS Tech Director Tom Peterson, to educate, supervise and manage students across most areas of technical design including sound, lighting, scenic, costumes and properties.

This work also includes overseeing all technical aspects of the theatre while in use by the theatre guild. The Tech Director is to ensure proper use and care of equipment and the facility by overseeing and training users in the operation of theatrical lighting and sound. The Tech Director will be responsible for maintaining the care and suggesting repair of facility and equipment in the space.

This is a NON-FTE position that is linked to two stipends in the Chelmsford teachers' contract.

Chelmsford High School is a public high school located in Chelmsford Massachusetts, established in 1927. The school is based on a three-house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well-known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year.
