Our client, a global leader in industrial automation and sensing technologies, is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 to join their team. As a Hardware Development Engineer Level 3, you will be part of the Sensing & Safety Hardware Engineering Department

Job Title: Hardware Development Engineer Level 3
Location: 2 Executive Dr, Chelmsford, MA 01824
What’s the Job?- Contribute to the sustainment of existing sensing and safety product lines, leveraging expertise in analog and digital circuitry.
- Execute product redesigns, cost‑reduction improvements, and safety standards testing to support product qualification.
- Support, test, and redesign safety and sensing hardware across diverse engineering tasks.
- Maintain technical requirements, validate devices electrically and functionally, and perform engineering tests for design and production.
- Collaborate with senior internal and external experts, applying sound engineering judgment to select methods and techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products for industrial, consumer, or medical applications.
- Proficiency in Creo / Pro Engineer, GD&T, and design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA/DFSS).
- Strong knowledge of injection molding, die‑cast tooling, thermoplastics, and modern machining/rapid prototyping methods.
- Experience working with SAP and qualification standards including UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA/IP.
