Our client, a global leader in industrial automation and manufacturing solutions
, is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 to join their team. As a Hardware Development Engineer Level 3, you will be part of the Mechanical Continuation Engineering department
, supporting cross‑functional engineering teams developing electromechanical industrial products

Job Title: Hardware Development Engineer Level 3

Location: 2 Executive Dr, Chelmsford, MA 01824 (Onsite)

Pay Range:

What’s the Job?
  • Design and support sealed electromechanical enclosures for industrial devices such as switches, sensors, and safety products.
  • Apply NEMA/IP ingress protection standards to ensure durability in harsh industrial environments.
  • Create Creo (Pro/Engineer) 3D models, drawings, and documentation for high‑volume production.
  • Lead and define engineering test plans to qualify mechanical designs for vibration, thermal, and environmental conditions.
  • Provide hands‑on troubleshooting to resolve complex cross‑functional issues involving product functionality, assembly, and qualification.
What’s Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products for industrial, consumer, or medical applications.
  • Proficiency in Creo / Pro Engineer
    , GD&T, and design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA/DFSS).
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding, die‑cast tooling, thermoplastics
    , and modern machining/rapid prototyping methods.
  • Experience working with SAP and qualification standards including UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA/IP.
