Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Civil Transportation/Pavement Engineer for immediate employment for the Phoenix, Chicago, Chelmsford, or several other potential offices.
Responsibilities- Manage tasks on projects and work directly with clients.
- Perform transportation highway pavement and asset management data analysis.
- Utilize pavement design software, including PAVER and related pavement management software.
- Utilize AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS.
- Perform Pavement Condition Index surveys in accordance with ASTM standards.
- Perform airfield pavement design in accordance with FAA and Department of Defense standards. Develop basic plans, specifications and cost estimates for pavement design projects.
- Perform pavement engineering report writing and review.
- Pursue and write proposals. Take initiatives to grow business.
- BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Must have Professional Engineering License (PE).
- Willingness to travel over 50% to perform pavement field work.
- A minimum of 6 years of work experience in the field of Civil Transportation or Pavement Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Transportation or Pavement Engineering (roadway, parking, airfields).
- Requires basic knowledge using AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS.
- Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of basic data analysis tools such as Excel (including lookups, pivot tables, VBA macros) and PowerPoint.
- Will be required to gain familiarity with pavement engineering standards such as ASTM Standard, AASHTO 93 Design guide, and related pavement engineering software (PAVER, AASHTO ‘93 Design, FAAFIELD).
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000.
