The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Technician- Install and configure conformal coating, curing and conveyor equipment at customer sites
- Electro-mechanical troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
- Analyze failure modes and recommend long-term solutions
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
- Train operators, technicians, and engineers on equipment operation and maintenance, including software programming and configuration.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams
- Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Must be adept at Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Proficiency in reading electrical/mechanical schematics and circuit diagrams.
- Have a U.S. Passport and ready to travel (50% or more)
- Experience with PLC programming, i.e., Siemens, Rockwell (preferred).
- Familiarity with PCB-specific standards and some soldering experience (preferred).
- 2–5+ years of experience servicing SMT or electro-mechanical machines (preferred).
- Familiarity with Windows-based software and basic networking
- Ability to work independently in field environments
