Program Manager (Defense Electronics Manufacturing)
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and manage high-impact programs within a defense-focused electronics manufacturing environment
. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the President, responsible for driving contract execution, customer engagement, and cross-functional alignment.

This position requires a strong background in defense or electronics manufacturing
—this experience is critical to success in the role.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for major programs and customer engagements
• Lead program execution to ensure alignment with contract requirements, timelines, and deliverables
• Drive customer relationships through consistent communication and service-based engagement
• Partner with Materials and Supply Chain to ensure inventory planning and on-time delivery
• Collaborate with Sales on RFQs/RFPs
  , including scope clarification and quote execution
• Provide regular program status updates to executive leadership (COO, Operations)
• Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Customer Service
• Coordinate engineering activities related to new product introductions, revisions, and process improvements
• Initiate and manage ECO/ECN processes
  , including cost analysis and customer approvals
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and cost optimization
• Manage customer expectations, including weekly updates and quarterly business reviews
• Support resolution of material liabilities, cancellations, and financial impacts

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
• 8+ years of program management experience in electronics or defense manufacturing (REQUIRED)
• Strong understanding of:
• Manufacturing operations
• Engineering change processes (ECO/ECN, MRB)
• Contract execution and customer management
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and manufacturing plans
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems (ERP/MRP)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with ISO standards and GMP environments
