Position: Quality Engineer 2nd Shift - Chelmsford, MA - No Experience Required
Description:

You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of manufactured and procured products within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving product excellence across the supply chain.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Develop and execute inspection plans for manufactured and procured components.

* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non‑conformances.

* Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality.

* Maintain and improve quality documentation and compliance with aerospace standards.

* Support cross‑functional teams with data‑driven quality metrics and reporting.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in a STEM related field with 1+ years of experience , no experience required with a STEM Masters degree or equivalent combined education and experience.

* Ability to work independently and as a team player.

* Proficiency in relevant computer applications.

* This position requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance within a year of starting, therefore all candidates need to be US Citizens.

Desired

Skills:

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

* Working knowledge of MES systems

* Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.

* Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.

* Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience.

* J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization.

* ASQ CQE.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
