Role Summary
Description: You will be the Quality Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision‑engagement aerospace and defense systems, ensuring the highest level of quality for our customers.
Responsibilities- Develop and review quality standards, methods, and procedures, partnering with design and production teams to deliver flawless products.
- Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes.
- Analyze and resolve process issues, driving corrective actions.
- Lead program corrective‑action meetings and participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards.
- Perform assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality‑related issues while applying lean initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a STEM‑related field or equivalent combined education/experience.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; ability to obtain a secret clearance and an interim secret clearance prior to start.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
- Experience in Six‑Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
- Discrete and/or micro‑electronics experience.
- Familiarity with J‑STD‑001/IPC‑A‑610.
- ASQ CQE certification.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position requires a secret clearance; a company‑sponsored interim secret clearance is required to start.
