AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a passion for wastewater treatment plant evaluation and design, for the New England area. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful wastewater practice in New England working on a diverse range of technically challenging wastewater projects.
Responsibilities- Lead multi-discipline and complex wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.
- Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
- Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff.
- Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
- Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business.
- Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.
- Actively participate in wastewater organizations like NEWEA and WEF through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
- BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field + 8years of related experience in wastewater treatment, pumping and/or collection systemsor a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Demonstrated knowledge wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client/consultant relations experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel within New England region.
- 12years of related experience in wastewater consulting and engineering management.
- Registered Professional Engineer licensed in one of the New England states and capable of obtaining a license in Massachusetts and Connecticut within 9 months of employment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and New England Water Environment Association.
- Proven ability to lead business development activities.
- Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.
