Description
You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of manufactured and procured products within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving product excellence across the supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute inspection plans for manufactured and procured components.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non‑conformances.
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality.
- Maintain and improve quality documentation and compliance with aerospace standards.
- Support cross‑functional teams with data‑driven quality metrics and reporting.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field with 1+ years of experience, or equivalent combined education and experience. A STEM Master’s degree is considered equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance within a year of starting; all candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MES systems.
- Experience with GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
- Experience in Six‑Sigma Green Belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
- Discrete and/or micro‑electronics experience.
- Familiarity with J‑STD‑001/IPC‑A‑610.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
CompensationPay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range reflects the candidate’s final work location.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
