Job Overview

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to serve as an RF Engineering Manager. The role drives production of complex multi‑function modules for high‑reliability applications and leads cross‑functional engineering teams toward innovative solutions.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or BS in STEM accepted, plus a minimum of 8 years of professional engineering experience.
• Team leadership experience at the project level.
• Extensive troubleshooting experience with RF designs and integration issues.
• Proficiency with RF microwave test equipment and simulation tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance; must be a U.S. citizen.

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
• Leadership experience at the group level with staff career management and budgetary management.
• Significant experience in the defense electronics industry, including RF system architecture.
• Design experience for active RF modules, circuits, or systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in a production environment.
• Experience testing microwave products at CCA, module, or sub‑assembly level.
• Expert level knowledge of microwave simulation tools.
• Expertise with datalink or T/R module architecture.
• Proficiency with RF subsystems and hardware such as antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low‑noise amplifiers, high‑power amplifiers, advanced modules, mixers, switches, frequency generators, and converters.
• Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques.
• Strong technical documentation skills (specifications, schematic drawings, test data).
• Experience with customer interface and technical presentations.
• Hands‑on hardware experience.
• Ability to lead failure investigations on production and technical issues.
• Capability to work collaboratively with manufacturing, industrial, and operator teams.

• Functional management of the RF Engineering team, guiding staff selection, development, workload assignments, and performance.
• Drive production of complex multi‑function modules across all life‑cycle phases.
• Lead investigations to understand complex RF problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Act autonomously to uncover and resolve issues associated with operational product implementation.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers.
• Contribute to or author proposals and participate in business capture efforts.
• Coordinate with technical and manufacturing support personnel to ensure successful product development and production.
