Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Test Engineer for a contract opportunity in Chelmsford, MA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience using Microsoft Office to generate reports, project plans, and work instructions
- Experience writing, editing, and supporting software using LabVIEW and/or Test Stand
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working effectively in team environments
- Ability to work with minimal detailed direction
- Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components
- Translate customer requirements into system test solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Establish functional and technical specifications and standards
- Solve hardware/software interface problems and define input/output parameters
- Ensure integration of entire systems or subsystems
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and schedules
- Coordinate testing activities with programs and other organizations
- Analyze test results and prepare evaluation reports
- Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing
- 9+ years of professional experience preferred
- Expertise in RF or microwave systems and subsystems
- Experience developing complex test programs in NI LabVIEW and/or Test Stand
- Proven ability to troubleshoot down to instrument, fixture, software, or unit level
- Experience specifying components for test equipment design
- Proficiency in generating engineering documentation
- Familiarity with corrective/preventative action processes
- Experience deriving test requirements from system-level requirements
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines
- Experience preparing technical presentations and trade studies
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
- 4/10 work schedule
- 1st Shift
