RF Engineer - Chelmsford, MA (Second Shift, Full-Time)

Join Lockheed Martin's elite RF engineering team in Chelmsford, MA, and play a critical part in the design, production, and testing of complex, high-reliability multi-function modules for cutting-edge aerospace and defense applications. As an RF Engineer, you'll work hands-on in a dynamic laboratory environment, collaborating closely with industry-leading experts to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems. This key role offers significant growth potential alongside exposure to advanced technologies and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolve integration issues in a fast-paced production environment
  • Independently identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges through creative problem-solving
  • Support the complete product lifecycle, from design and prototyping to testing and manufacturing sustainment
  • Operate RF microwave test equipment and simulation tools to validate and optimize designs
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers, as well as manufacturing and technical support teams
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, specifications, and presentations
  • Ensure compliance with classified information handling protocols and support customer engagements
  • Participate in failure investigations and drive corrective actions in production support

Required

Skills and Experience:

  • Active Secret Clearance (required to start)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional RF engineering experience
  • Proven expertise in hands-on hardware troubleshooting and production integration
  • Proficient with RF/microwave test equipment and simulation tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Skills:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Extensive experience in defense electronics and RF subsystem design
  • Deep knowledge of antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency circuits, and microelectronics assembly techniques
  • Ability to lead technical investigations and interface with customers
  • Strong capability in technical documentation and collaborative problem-solving
