Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer

Seeking Program Engineer to support the development and delivery of highly engineered electromechanical products within a defense-focused environment. This role combines engineering, project management, and customer-facing responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain exposure to product development, manufacturing, and defense programs.

The Program Engineer will work directly with customers to understand product requirements, support design-for-manufacturing initiatives, and coordinate cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and driving projects from concept to production.

• Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements, product specifications, and design objectives.
• Support program management activities for new product development and design-for-manufacturing initiatives.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, resource planning, and program deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations, and product release activities.
• Support development of engineering specifications, documentation, and manufacturing processes.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and support product development efforts.
• Track project milestones, costs, and performance metrics to ensure programs remain on schedule and within budget.
• Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product design, manufacturing, and program execution.
• Support risk assessment activities, including DFMEA and other engineering review processes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of chelmsford, MA.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
