Secret-Cleared Project Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Project Engineer in Chelmsford, MA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Project Engineer will plan, coordinate, track, and report engineering activities supporting advanced test-equipment programs. This role will serve as a Control Account Manager, maintain the Integrated Master Schedule, coordinate material procurement and kitting, and lead process improvements across engineering and manufacturing functions.
Required Skills• Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or master's degree with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of project-management experience.
• Active Secret security clearance required at the time of submission and to start.
• Experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and tracking engineering projects.
• Experience building effective relationships across functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities.
• Experience tracking project milestones, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, program, and leadership teams.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Preferred Skills• Control Account Manager experience.
• Earned Value Management System experience.
• Experience maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule.
• Engineering or manufacturing experience within the defense industry.
• Advanced Test Equipment or integration-and-test equipment experience.
• SAP experience.
• Material procurement, receipt verification, or kitting experience.
• DFARS experience.
• Experience leading continuous process-improvement initiatives.
• Experience communicating with external stakeholders.
What You'll Do• Serve as the Control Account Manager for advanced programs.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Maintain and update the Integrated Master Schedule.
• Align project schedules with program milestones and resource plans.
• Track project execution, performance, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate material requisitions, procurement activities, receipt verification, and kitting.
• Serve as the primary procurement liaison for assigned programs.
• Prepare project status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Program teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase execution efficiency.
• Improve the quality and consistency of project documentation.
• Support integration and test-equipment program activities as assigned.
Pay: $67.45 per hour
