AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to be based in our Chelmsford, MA, Boston, MA, or New York, NY office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.
This position is expected to begin June 2027, but that date is flexible.
Job Overview:The Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer will work with a diverse team of engineers, project managers and technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services in New England.
The job responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
- Support planning, design, construction, and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure and best management practices (BMPs), low impact development projects, and green infrastructure practices
- Perform field work including environmental sampling and parameter collection, stormwater BMP inspection, BMP retrofit assessments and stream evaluations
- Prepare construction documents, engineering reports, and basic data and scientific documents regarding stormwater, water quality, watershed management, and best management practices
- Support hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling, and geospatial evaluations
- Prepare written and graphic reports
- Build analytic and design skills
- Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision
- BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological/Agricultural Engineering, or related field
