Fall Musical:
Oversee all aspects of the musical, including casting performers, determining a production schedule, leading rehearsals, managing ticket sales, registering with Theatre at the Mount, and communicating with families. The Director of the musical will collaborate closely with the technical director and musical assistant.
One-Act Play (METG Festival) and Children’s Play/Spring Production:
- December – March (possibly later depending on how far the school advances in the METG Festival):
Oversee all aspects of the METG Festival One-Act Play, including selecting the play, casting performers, determining a production schedule, leading rehearsals, managing ticket sales, communicating with METG, and communicating with families. The Director will collaborate closely with the technical director. - April – May:
Oversee all aspects of the CHS Children’s Play/Spring Production, including casting performers, collaborating with students to create a script, determining a production schedule, leading rehearsals, managing ticket sales, and communicating with families. The Director will collaborate closely with the technical director.
Required skills:
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Experience directing high school theatre
- Ability to lead students in evening and weekend rehearsals and performances
Position is NON-FTE, linked to two stipends in the Chelmsford teachers' contract:
Director of the Musical (2B) and Drama Club Director (2C)
