Position Type:
Temporary – 33 hours per week through August 14, 2026; 37.5 hours per week thereafter.

Salary: $29 to $34 per hour.

Job Description

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for a temporary Human Resources Assistant. This role will provide coverage for a leave of absence commencing in July and is expected to last approximately 6‑12 weeks in a busy and supportive school district environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Data entry in Aspen/X2, Excel, Teach Point, and School Spring
  • Running reports in Munis
  • Assisting walk‑ins with general inquiries
  • Supporting new hire and onboarding processes
  • Maintaining records and documentation
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support as needed

Job Category:

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of school district structure, operations, and resources
  • Experience with Aspen/X2, MUNIS, School Spring, and Teach Point
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, electronic calendars, Google Drive, and databases
  • Familiarity with HR functions such as attendance management, leaves of absence (FMLA), and benefits/COBRA administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Associate degree (preferred)
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
