Position Type:
Temporary – 33 hours per week through August 14, 2026; 37.5 hours per week thereafter.
Salary: $29 to $34 per hour.
Job DescriptionThe Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for a temporary Human Resources Assistant. This role will provide coverage for a leave of absence commencing in July and is expected to last approximately 6‑12 weeks in a busy and supportive school district environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Data entry in Aspen/X2, Excel, Teach Point, and School Spring
- Running reports in Munis
- Assisting walk‑ins with general inquiries
- Supporting new hire and onboarding processes
- Maintaining records and documentation
- Providing general administrative and clerical support as needed
Job Category:
Support Staff – Clerical
- Knowledge of school district structure, operations, and resources
- Experience with Aspen/X2, MUNIS, School Spring, and Teach Point
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, electronic calendars, Google Drive, and databases
- Familiarity with HR functions such as attendance management, leaves of absence (FMLA), and benefits/COBRA administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
- At least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred)
- Associate degree (preferred)
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
