We are supporting a growing advanced manufacturing company on their search for a Senior Supply Chain Manager. This role is responsible for leading purchasing, inventory, and logistics functions while remaining actively involved in day-to-day procurement activities. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee supplier relationships, negotiate key contracts, manage critical and long-lead materials, and drive material availability to support production schedules. This position partners closely with engineering, planning, production, quality, and finance teams to optimize supply chain performance, improve inventory management, and support continued business growth across highly engineered manufacturing environments.

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee supplier relationships, negotiate key contracts, manage critical and long-lead materials, and drive material availability to support production schedules. This position partners closely with engineering, planning, production, quality, and finance teams to optimize supply chain performance, improve inventory management, and support continued business growth across highly engineered manufacturing environments.
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team across purchasing, inventory management, and logistics functions
- Execute purchasing activities for critical components, technical materials, and long-lead items required to support manufacturing operations
- Manage supplier relationships including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, expediting, supplier development, and performance management
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and ECOs to support accurate procurement decisions
- Maintain purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems, including pricing, lead times, supplier information, and order confirmations
- Resolve material shortages, supplier delivery issues, engineering changes, and supply disruptions to minimize production impacts
- Partner closely with engineering, planning, and production teams to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedules
- Collaborate with production planning teams to optimize MRP execution and inventory performance
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to supplier performance, inventory turns, on-time delivery, and procurement effectiveness
- Analyze inventory levels and recommend strategies to reduce working capital, improve inventory health, and optimize material flow
- Conduct supplier evaluations and implement supplier performance improvement initiatives
- Utilize forecasting, analytics, automation, and other supply chain technologies to improve planning accuracy and risk mitigation
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives that enhance procurement and operational efficiency
- Develop supplier scorecards and data-driven sourcing strategies to improve long-term performance and reliability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 6-8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
