Quality Control Inspector 2nd Shift

Join Pace Industries, LLC to perform inspections and tests on in‑process and finished products as defined in procedures and work instructions. Generate the appropriate documentation, records and reports. Support quality, engineering and manufacturing as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Calibrate and measure specifications with numeracy skills.
  • Initiate inspections and perform visual and mechanical inspections of castings.
  • Read and understand inspection reports, provide feedback to supervisor and production floor.
  • Inspect, pack and record all parts at specified frequencies and lot sizes according to approved Quality Control procedures.
  • Perform audits as necessary and tag suspect parts for holding.
  • Work overtime and maintain a safe working environment, reporting unsafe conditions and using required PPE.
  • Participate in training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Report to the Quality Manager and follow all safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or prior quality inspection background.
  • On‑the‑job training will be provided for candidates with limited experience in quality control.
  • Self‑starter with initiative, detail oriented and able to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements
  • Moderately heavy lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Dexterity to access and remove sample parts during manufacturing.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, ascend and descend stairs for long periods.
  • Technical skills to understand technical documents, manuals and blueprints.

Compensation

$21.00–$28.25 per hour.
