Microelectronics Assembler
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Microelectronics Assembler in Chelmsford, MA for a 5-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This is an onsite production opportunity supporting the assembly and/or testing of electronic products and systems in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Required Skills- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills (timekeeping, accessing digital work instructions, task confirmations, and data entry)
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Comfort working with small components that may require visual magnification
- Familiarity with ESD procedures and/or electronic test equipment (preferred per req, but beneficial to include as relevant experience)
- Experience with electrical and/or microelectronics assembly
- Experience using microscopes, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment
- Ability and willingness to learn J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
- Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products per work instructions and drawings
- Use microscopes, measuring tools, and test equipment to meet quality requirements
- Read and interpret assembly process documentation and follow defined build steps
- Use hand tools (tweezers, rulers, cutters) and pneumatic tools (torque drivers, screwdrivers) as required
- Maintain accurate production-related data entry and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to support throughput and continuous improvement
- Day shift, full-time:
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM - Overtime may be available
