Amrize, a leading supplier of construction building materials in the United States, is looking for a General Laborer to support operations at the Chelmsford Asphalt plant. The position involves maintaining grounds, operating equipment such as loaders, forklifts, man lifts, and bobcats, and performing light maintenance tasks.

• Assist with a wide range of physical tasks including lifting, carrying, digging, loading, and unloading materials.
• Support skilled tradespeople and other plant operations.
• Clean and prepare job sites, clear debris, sweep, and set up or dismantle work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Use shovels, drills, saws, and other tools under supervision to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Move and store construction materials, supplies, or machinery as directed by supervisors or foremen.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to carry out verbal or written directions accurately.
• Understanding and application of workplace safety rules and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Teamwork and communication skills; ability to work well with others in a team setting, maintain a positive attitude, and communicate effectively.
• Reliable and punctual work ethic; consistent attendance, dependable performance, and willingness to work flexible hours or overtime.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools; ability to safely operate and maintain them as needed.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Daily travel required.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
