Adecco Staffing is assisting a well-known manufacturing facility in Chelmsford, MA in hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Candidates with a basic understanding of building trades, facilities equipment, and construction methods are encouraged to apply directly to this posting. This role is ideal for individuals who can perform general repair and maintenance work independently or with guidance.

Shift & Pay
  • Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm
  • Pay: $25/hr + depending on experience
About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of a professional manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment while supporting facility operations and equipment upkeep.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Perform general facility maintenance including lighting, ceiling tiles, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
  • Assist with equipment and office moves, installations, leaks, clogs, painting, floor maintenance, and general building upkeep
  • Support construction-related projects including drywall repair, door adjustments, and flooring work
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment including air filters, humidifiers, air conditioning systems, and safety equipment
  • Conduct routine facility and safety inspections and maintain accurate maintenance documentation
  • Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with outside vendors as needed
  • Assemble/disassemble fixtures, furniture, tables, and storage racks
  • Follow safety procedures, maintenance schedules, and standard operating procedures at all times
  • Support facility needs during overtime, weather-related, or emergency situations when required
Specialized Skills & Requirements
  • Basic understanding of building trades, facility equipment, and construction methods
  • Ability to safely use standard hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to safety and ability to identify unsafe conditions
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete maintenance documentation
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout, HVAC systems, or 5S/Lean concepts is a plus
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Technical/Vocational High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, ideally in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or construction trades
  • Minimum of 1 year of facility maintenance experience in a professional or manufacturing environment required
