Shelby County Emergency Management Communications District (Shelby County 911) is seeking motivated individuals to become 911 Telecommunicators. You will take 911 calls and dispatch first responders, while also handling routine calls and non-emergency information for the public.
New telecommunicators receive classroom and hands-on training to answer 911 emergencies and non-emergency calls, learning to de-escalate situations and gather essential details for responders in the field.
