Purpose   Provide clean linen and terry to all departments.
Principal Responsibilities     Feed ironer and receive the linen from presser and the folder, sort and pack them on the rack.
Check all linen and sort the stain and ripped linen and place them in separate bins.
Move the packed linen rack to appropriate areas.
Sort and clean terry then move them to appropriate areas.
Fold terry and pack them in the pack.
Comply with laundry and hotel policies and procedure.
Break, lunch and dinner must be taken at posted time only or by direction of Laundry Manager or Supervisor.
Maintain a clean work area by doing any necessary sweeping and mopping etc.
Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to MSDS (i.e. wearing safety goggle, aprons, mask and gloves when needed).
Safe effective use of equipment.
Use only chemicals and safety equipment provided by the Hotel.
Follow Chelsea grooming policy. Nametag must be worn at all times.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
Key Result Areas   Business     Report equipment malfunctions to the laundry manager immediately.
Customer Satisfaction     Should always conduct him/herself with a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guest, co-workers and managers.
Process Improvement/ Productivity   Production must be met with specified requirement.
Academic and Working Qualifications   Working Experience
Previous experience in a laundry facility an asset.
Soft Skills
Strong work ethic.
Able to work on a team.
Language
Good communication skills.
Ability to read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements
Flexible availability.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to lift and bend.
Able to work in a hot and humid environment.
Not allergic to linens, detergents and dust
