TITLE:
High Dosage Tutoring (Ignite Reading or other program equivalent) School Champion 26-27 school year (1 position at each of the following schools: ELC, Kelly, Hooks, Soko, Berkowitz)

LOCATION: ELC, Hooks, Kelly, Soko, Berkowitz

REPORTS TO: School Leader and District Ignite Champion

T he school champion will work to ensure the program is successfully operating within the school. Below is a detailed list of the critical tasks:

• Fills out all necessary Student Roster information and submits the roster on time to Ignite Reading
• Identi?es Ignite Reading spaces within school building
• Works with leadership to procure and organize materials (i.e., markers, whiteboards, buddy blockers, headphones)
• Works with leadership to ensure that they communicate schedule and transition plans to teachers so that kids are prepared/on time for Ignite Reading sessions each day
• Schedules and attends monthly data meetings with Ignite Reading Literacy Specialist
• Schedules the requisite implementation meetings prior to program launch
• Supports with the collection of permission slips for student participation

• Supports with all Launch Week logistics, including students transitioning at their designated times and logging into tutoring sessions
• Supports ?nalizing student rosters; based on individual student DIBELS dat

• Reads and responds to emails from Ignite Reading team regarding program implementation success
• Proactively reaches out to Ignite Reading as issues emerge so that Ignite Reading can support and ensure the program is optimized to get the best results for students
• Consistently monitors rosters for students who move/graduate in order to keep all seats filled.

QUALIFICATIONS: CPS Educator at a school that is participating in Ignite and is familiar with the program

COMPENSATION: $1,500 stipend that will be paid out upon successful completion of the last Ignite tutoring session in June of 2027.
