Pharmaceutical Technician III Catalent’s Chelsea, Massachusetts site—often referred to as the Boston location is a global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion (SDD) and dry powder inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacturing and packaging, supporting inhalation drug products from clinical development through commercial launch. Located at 190
Everett Avenue, the approximately 96,000-square-foot GMP facility features ISO8 production suites, high-potency containment capabilities, and advanced spray drying equipment, including multiple large-scale GMP spray dryers. The site offers integrated services such as powder processing, capsule filling, blister packaging, and on-site quality control and analytical testing, with capacity to produce up to 100 million capsules annually. Strategically positioned just minutes from Boston Logan International Airport and within the Greater Boston life sciences hub, the Chelsea site plays a critical role in Catalent’s global inhalation network and regulatory-compliant manufacturing operations.
We have an opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Technician III to join our team. In this role, you will execute and optimize GMP manufacturing unit operations with minimal supervision. You will lead troubleshooting efforts and contribute to continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about operational excellence.
Shift: 2/2/3 Work Rotation, 6:00pm to 6:00am.
Location:
Chelsea, MA 100% Onsite.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation
- Execute complex processes across multiple unit operations
- Optimize equipment and process performance
- Lead troubleshooting efforts across process and equipment issues
- Review and improve documentation practices
- Lead deviation investigations and identify root causes
- Influence Standard Operating Procedure updates and best practices
- Regularly interface with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Manufacturing Science and Technology teams
- All other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experience required
- Advanced GMP and process knowledge is required
On an average 12-hour day, this role requires frequent standing, walking and reaching; occasional sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Skills & Background- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
The anticipated hourly rate for this position in MA is $29 – $34 Plus Bonus. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
