Job Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Urgent Care – Chelsea, MA – Rotating schedule (Every Other Weekend). Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or clinical leader, provides direct and indirect patient care and administrative support in an urgent care clinic.
Essential Functions- Interview patients, assess complaints, and review medical records.
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight).
- Perform basic patient care including wound dressing, bedsores treatment, enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, massage, catheterization, immunizations, nebulizer treatments, visual acuity tests.
- Administer medications under supervision.
- Communicate post-visit findings and participate in care planning.
- Triage phone calls and perform related office tasks.
- Collect diagnostic samples and perform routine lab tests.
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and mobility.
Education: Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma – Licensed Practical Nurse required.
Licenses & Credentials: Licensed Practical Nurse (state license); BLS certification.
Experience: 3‑5 years preferred; experience in emergency or acute care preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Interviewing and teaching techniques for patient education.
- Accurate vital sign measurement and health information gathering.
- Medication administration (injection, IV, oral).
- Performing clinical procedures as appropriate.
- Professional, courteous communication.
Work Location: 151 Everett Avenue, Chelsea, MA.

Pay Range: $29.13 – $43.64 per hour.
