Director of Nursing – Highland Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

Full‑time, Monday‑Friday (9:00 am‑5:00 pm);
Salary: $ – $ per year.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the department.
  • Perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the medical team.
  • Work in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person‑centered care.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures according to current rules and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN Massachusetts State License.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center, or another related healthcare setting.
  • Must have experience in supervision and principles, the practice of teaching, etc.
  • Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
