Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Chelsea, MA 02150

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and provide support to fellow team members with seasonal resets, installations, and other tasks as needed. You may also work with other products from partner brands in the stores you serve.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 – $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 9–12 hours.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.

YOUR

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be expected to work additional days and extended hours. On occasions like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday, which may include weekends.
  • Department resets: Occasionally you will be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Two weeks’ advance notice is typically provided for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you belong to a network of merchandiser professionals who often support each other across territories.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This physically demanding role requires high energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and ladders.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • You are at least 18 years of age.
    • You can read, write, and understand English.
    • You can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
    • You can operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
    • You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
    • You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

    Part‑time employees with a schedule of fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
