Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day engagement: Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Maintain professional interactions with store employees, management, and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Expect additional days and extended hours during peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). You may be required to work on holidays, including weekends, during peak periods.
  • Department Resets: May participate in installations and tasks such as building/installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments; evenings or weekends may be required.
  • One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who may support other team members in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role requiring energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • You're at least 18 years of age.
  • You're able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • You have access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 - $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Paid training provided (live, hands-on and virtual classroom).
  • Part-time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, and vision, among others.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 9-12 hours per week

  • Availability around major holidays (which may include weekends) is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
