Follow daily dispatched orders, load, transport, and deliver refined petroleum products from bulk storage terminals to retail outlets, wholesale service stations, and commercial accounts. Accurately complete all required documentation while strictly adhering to company policies, state, local, and federal highway laws and safety procedures.
Responsibilities- Safely load fuel at external customer terminals
- Safely deliver fuel to company store locations
- Verify that the dispatched product is delivered to the correct store location
- Follow all company and DOT regulated policies related to loading and unloading of hazardous product
- Comply with all federal and state driving laws to ensure roadway safety
- Complete daily logging of service hours to ensure DOT compliance
- Observe and report mechanical or equipment failures immediately
Maintain professional appearance with clean uniforms - Keep trucks clean and neat, inside and outside
- Carry out other duties assigned by management
Internal customers:
Retail store team members, Logistics Department, Fleet Department. External customers:
Motorists on the roadways.
- Minimum education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum experience:
Three years of general tractor‑trailer driving experience - Preferred experience:
Three years of petroleum driving experience - Licenses/Certifications:
Current Class A commercial driver’s license with Hazmat/Tank endorsement, TWIC card - Soft skills:
Demonstrate a professional attitude in appearance, mannerisms, and actions toward internal and external customers and the public while loading, driving, and delivering product
Work schedule consists of four (4) ten‑hour shifts per week with occasional overtime (call‑out and extension of shift). The position requires 100% travel time to deliver petroleum products to store locations.
Driving Requirements- Valid commercial driver’s license with hazmat endorsement and clean driving record
- Successful completion of FMCSA 49 CFR Part 382.701 Subpart (a) pre‑employment drug and alcohol clearance
- Other required testing or checks as applicable
- Maintain qualifications to pass DOT physical exam
- Perform standing, bending, walking, and lifting while loading and unloading
- Occasional climbing of ladders and steps while entering/exiting vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 40 lb dead weight and push/pull loading arms with ~40–50 lb lateral force several times per day
- Use tools (hammer, screwdriver, cover lifting tool, fuel hose drainer, chipping tool)
