Set in the heart of one of the most picturesque Cotswold villages, The Slaughters Country Inn offers the authentic charm of a traditional village inn. With 5 AA Gold Stars for Guest Accommodation and 2 AA rosettes, the inn provides a relaxed yet professional environment for both guests and staff. Accommodations may be offered on or off‑site to help new team members relocate comfortably.

We provide a monthly service charge average of £260 (approximately £3,200 per year) above base pay, which is shared 100% among the team. Base pay is competitive, and you will also receive tips and other benefits.

As a Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to run a busy kitchen and create exciting, delicious dishes for guests. This role is suited to someone who has worked in a similar environment previously.

• Apply expert knife skills and cook with the finest of ingredients.
• Stay current with allergen training and ensure compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
• Properly label all food to prevent out‑of‑date items.
• Share your knowledge with Junior Sous, CDPs, KPs, and Commis.
• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Co‑author the allergen matrix with the Head Chef.
• Oversee ordering via Procure Wizard to prevent stock shortages.

This role requires prior experience in a kitchen environment similar to ours.
