Job Introduction
Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join our Toyota dealership in Cheltenham. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with Saturdays on a rota basis. Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant’s experience and skillset.
Basic salary up to £42,000 with on‑target earnings (OTE) up to £48,000 plus benefits.

Role and Responsibilities- Servicing, repair, and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard the first time.
- Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air‑conditioning servicing.
- Repairs and maintenance on EV and hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs and control systems.
- Fitting manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
- Maintaining customer‑satisfaction standards and understanding their impact on the business.
- Operating additional systems such as video reporting (e.g. CitNOW) and completing all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
- Working closely with other workshop team members to learn and share knowledge.
- Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
- Whether at an independent garage, fast‑fit centre, car supermarket, or main dealer.
- Hold or working toward completion of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Electric and hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- MOT licence beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrable mechanical and electrical knowledge and a commitment to high‑standard work; we provide training and facilities to help you progress.
