Detail2 Recruitment is working with a leading family-owned waste management and environmental services business.
They're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their fleet workshop in Cheltenham.
This is a fleet operator role maintaining a busy, specialist commercial fleet. It suits a technician who wants a stable employer, a well-equipped workshop and steady, varied work without the pressure of a dealership environment.
HGV Technician - The details
£48,000- £51,000 per annum
Alternating weeks:
Mon-Fri 06:00-16:30 / Mon-Fri 07:30-17:00
Plus alternate Saturdays 06:00-11:30

City & Guilds Parts 1-3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV maintenance
Strong hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge
Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment
Reliable, flexible and comfortable working alone or as part of a team
Class 2 HGV licence, digital tacho card and Driver CPC an advantage
The role involves occasional work at height (safety equipment has a 140kg weight limit) HGV Technician - Responsibilities
Inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs, including warranty work, to manufacturer and DVSA standards
Preparing and presenting vehicles for annual MOT
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
Completing service documentation and job records accurately
Supporting and guiding apprentice technicians
Roadside assistance when required, plus occasional cover at other sites
Keeping the workshop safe, clean and organised About Us
