Job Summary
The College of Professional Programs at Eastern Washington University is seeking a full‑time Program Coordinator for its EWU at Bellevue College (BC) Programs
. The role involves coordinating specialized off‑campus program and online operations, supporting students and faculty, managing marketing and web content, and providing administrative and technical services for the BC campus and the broader college.
Admissions (10%)
- Meet with prospective domestic and international students to discuss program options at BC and online, making referrals to other off‑site and main campus programs.
- Assist with application questions and documentation.
- Attend transfer and recruiting events.
- Coordinate with BC to ensure students receive BC and access.
- Assist with student application, admission, registration, and progression through the program.
- Provide general education advising and initial meetings with students, referring them to appropriate major programs.
- Help students access services on the main EWU campus and at BC.
- Facilitate faculty access to classrooms and technology.
- Assist with hiring paperwork and processes.
- Facilitate faculty access to BC systems.
- Send BC n to EWU and BC offices.
- Maintain websites, marketing materials, flyers, and quarterly advertisements.
- Manage social media and Canvas pages.
- Track student enrollments and progress.
- Collect and distribute mail, manage office supplies.
- Assist in writing and presenting reports, projects, and program updates.
- Plan and implement student orientations, informational talks, workshops, graduation ceremonies, and special events.
- Direct or coordinate special projects and events important to the program.
- Develop informational materials for recruitment; conduct presentations.
- Attend team meetings; travel for recruitment events.
- Coordinate dissemination of communications and conference organization.
- Maintain program web pages.
- Serve as primary contact with students, faculty, field instructors, and external agencies regarding program policies.
- Provide independent advice to students, staff, and the public about the university.
- Initiate, maintain, and distribute student contact information.
- Liaise with faculty, staff, agencies, funding bodies, businesses, industry, and government representatives.
- Represent the program at public, program, and college functions.
- Coordinate program information with EWU programs.
- Provide routine support for hardware, software, assessment materials, and networking.
- Assist students with Eagle Net, Canvas, and web‑based technologies.
- Offer administrative support to Directors.
- Design office procedures, policies, and forms.
- Coordinate administrative standards across departmental functions.
- Maintain office computers and equipment with IT support.
- Order and receive office supplies; manage inventory and mail distribution.
- Support travel documentation and processing.
- Monitor budgets.
- Supervise work‑study students and other support staff as needed.
- Manage Directors’ appointment calendars and provide briefing support.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience providing complex program support services involving students.
- Strong computer skills with at least two (2) years of full‑time experience using a variety of software, including website development and maintenance.
- At least two (2) years of full‑time experience maintaining both manual and electronic records.
- At least two (2) years of full‑time experience handling a high‑volume of customer service (100+ daily), including:
- Communication with a wide variety of customers (agencies, placements, professionals, staff, students).
- Verbal, phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Managing overlapping deadlines and strong attention to detail.
- Perseverance, initiative, and ability to work independently and under direction with frequent interruptions.
