We are currently seeking a skilled and team‑oriented Administrative Assistant 2 within the Campus Police Department. This part‑time, benefit‑eligible position interacts with a diverse clientele inside and outside the university, including students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, work independently, and be a team player, an excellent listener and communicator. This role represents the university and campus police, maintaining a professional, outgoing, and helpful attitude and demeanor.

The salary for this position is $22,434 – $29,892 for 20 hours per week and is eligible for EWU’s comprehensive benefit package, including health, life, disability, and retirement insurance, vacation and sick leave accruals, 13 paid holidays, tuition waiver for employees and eligible family members, discounted sports tickets, access to campus facilities, and free transportation via STA buses.

Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work well with, and be sensitive to, people from diverse backgrounds and all ages.
- Strong attention to detail, as well as organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency using MS Office products.
- Must pass police department background investigation, including state and federal checks.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that supports the needs of our students, faculty, staff, and the public, including universal access.
- Familiarity with law enforcement and police department operations.
