Assistant Athletic Director – Special Projects and Administration
This role coordinates and administers special projects and leads event planning and activities within Eastern Washington University Athletics.
Job Responsibilities- Plan assigned athletics events including fundraisers, welcome back BBQ, sporting events, staff outings, and other initiatives.
- Serve as the athletics representative for development related strategies and activities.
- Oversee and enhance concessions strategies, 50/50 raffle and other departmental revenue initiatives.
- Carry out special projects and objectives provided by the Director of Athletics, including grants specific to the athletics department.
- Provide guidance on athletics objectives and key results aligned with the university’s Strategic Plan.
- Assist with NIL support and data input into NIL GO, CAPS and related software.
- Assist the business office with event receipt reconciliation and budgeting.
- Administer One Cause fundraising platform for fundraisers and alumni events.
- Liaise with campus partners for event planning, dining services, and summer camps.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operational support for the athletics department.
- Assist in implementing departmental policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics or equivalent experience.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Deep understanding of the athletic environment and ability to build relationships with student‑athletes, coaches and university stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prepare, review and analyze reports.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills to provide appropriate solutions and courses of action.
- Responsive and flexible approach supporting diverse needs, including universal access.
