Position: Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Cheney, Washington
Seeking a skilled educator to provide specialized instruction for students with visual impairments in a school setting located in Cheney, WA. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the unique learning needs of visually impaired students and promoting their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized educational programs tailored to students with visual impairments
  • Utilize specialized teaching techniques and adaptive technologies to enhance student learning
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to ensure integrated support services
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction based on ongoing evaluations
  • Provide orientation and mobility training, as appropriate, to promote independence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and program outcomes
Qualifications and Desired

Experience:
  • Valid teaching license with endorsement or certification in visual impairment
  • Experience working with visually impaired students across a range of ages and abilities
  • Strong understanding of assistive technology and educational resources for visual impairment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive education practices
