Job SummaryThe Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC) reports to the Director of the School of Nursing and is responsible for securing and managing clinical placements for nursing students. The role coordinates agency contracts, compliance, orientations, and scheduling, serving as the primary liaison between the School of Nursing and clinical affiliates.
Responsibilities- Serve as the EWU School of Nursing representative at Clinical Placements Northwest (CPNW) and represent the School with clinical affiliates.
- Arrange and secure clinical placements that align with student learning outcomes across the BSN program.
- Identify and evaluate potential new clinical sites; prepare reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Director of the School of Nursing and clinical leads to prepare a master clinical schedule each semester.
- Maintain and oversee affiliation agreements with clinical sites, ensuring compliance and initiating new agreements as needed.
- Confirm and schedule all student placements with clinical faculty before each clinical rotation.
- Coordinate and schedule clinical orientations for faculty and students in accordance with partner requirements.
- Monitor student and faculty compliance with background checks and immunization requirements.
- Design, maintain, and regularly update forms and informational materials to support clinical instructors and preceptors.
- Distribute and maintain records of student and faculty evaluations of clinical sites.
- Collaborate with faculty to update clinical education policies and procedures.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.

- Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare management, administration, or health sciences.
- Prior experience with clinical education or practice.
- Strong computer skills using MS Office, Google Suite, and large data information systems.
Position requires successful completion of a background check and compliance with EWU Immunization Policy 602‑02. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship for employment visas is not available. Employees must provide proof of immunity or vaccination to MMR before beginning work.
Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $56,589 (minimum) to $68,027 (maximum), based on qualifications, education, experience, and skills.
