Position Type: Classified, Ongoing
Compensation: $21.10–$25.94 per hour depending on experience; salary enhanced by degree: AA 0.50, BA 1.00, MA 1.50, PhD 2.00 per hour

Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: experience working with healthcare techniques and principles
- Preferred: experience working with K‑12 students
- Must have reliable transportation
- Proficient in grammar, spelling, and communication, basic math skills
- Basic computer knowledge (Google Workspace, MS Windows, Word)
The Health Aide assists in the operation of a school’s health room, providing a variety of services in support of students’ healthcare needs. The Health Aide will implement health plans, enter and maintain health‑related data in the student information system, administer medications, attend to students’ health concerns, administer first aid, and communicate with staff and parents about students’ health needs.
Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor students with special healthcare needs (e.g., diabetes, asthma, allergy) per individual health care plan
- Monitor students on field trips, providing for healthcare needs
- Administer medication per district policy
- Conduct and assist with health screenings
- Perform first aid triage, including documentation per School Nurse direction
- Maintain and update health records (immunization cards, health room logs, screening results, etc.) in the student information system and health files
- Prepare and file required reports (immunization compliance, etc.)
- Assist with health record requests and exchange of information
- Maintain and order supplies per School Nurse direction
- Maintain general sanitary conditions in health room
- Assist with student personal hygiene
- Assist with student healthcare needs in special education classrooms
- Act as a Parent Designated Adult for designated students
- Perform tasks delegated and trained by registered nurse (e.g., catheterization)
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff regarding student healthcare needs, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity
- Respond respectfully to student needs while maintaining confidentiality
