Job Summary

The Program Coordinator for Student Accommodations and Support Services will provide office support, student assistance, and accommodation intake oversight. Reporting to the Operations Manager for Student Accommodations and Support Services, the Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the services and outreach of EWU's Student Accommodations and Support Services team and connecting students with the right resources. This position will be responsible for advancing the vision and direction of Student Affairs and the Student Accommodations team through office management assistance, budget management, managing the student accommodations intake processes, excellent service, operational support and collaborating with programs and departments across campus as well as in the Cheney and Spokane communities with respect to student support, accommodations, and case management.

The SASS Program Coordinator, under the guidance of their supervisor, will help oversee the operational, administrative, and programmatic endeavors related to student accommodations. Critical skills needed include sensitivity to and awareness of confidential information, ability to remain calm and think clearly when engaging with highly distressed students, friendly and welcoming demeanor, excellent time management skills, experience with accounting and budgeting, experience with clerical support, and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

This position contributes directly to the persistence and retention of students by supporting the work done by Student Accommodations and Support Services.

Salary

The salary for this position is $47,004 - $51,216, where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.

Conditions Of Employment

This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
