Job Summary

We are currently seeking two skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position Fiscal Specialist 2 - Student Accounting. Under general supervision the Fiscal Specialist 2 is a vital member of the Student Accounting team in the Division of Student Affairs at Eastern Washington University. Reporting to the Director for Strategic Initiatives, this position is responsible for providing accounting and purchasing support for their respective budget area;
Student Accounting Office, Student Clubs and Organizations, or the Division of Student Affairs. The performance of duties requires the ability to exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations, resolve problems; independently advise divisional, departmental, and student club and organization leaders, staff and administrators regarding applicable policy and procedures, select/recommend alternative courses of action, and perform a wide variety of job functions that support the student experience.

The Student Accounting Office serves as primary support for fiscal/accounting functions tied to the Services and Activities Fee revenues, student clubs and organizations and Student Affairs departments and programs. Incumbents use established procedures in recording, summarizing and reporting fiscal activity.

This is an in-person position at EWU, offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, collaborative, and student-centered professional to shape a growing service area through innovation and initiative.

The salary for this position is $47,004 - $50,424, where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.
