Talent Manager
The College of Professional Programs at Eastern Washington University seeks a Recruitment & Retention Coordinator for the Family Resource and Training Center. The coordinator will lead regional recruitment and retention of foster families, implementing the Diligent Recruitment Plan, managing a community-based Recruitment Advisory Council, supervising regional Resource Peer Mentors, and handling related administrative tasks.
Responsibilities- Lead the regional Recruitment Advisory Council (RAC).
- Coordinate and implement the Diligent Recruitment Plan and Regional Recruitment Plan.
- Develop, schedule, and facilitate public events to promote foster family recruitment.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to Resource Peer Mentors.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and data collection on recruitment activities.
- Collaborate with child welfare staff and community partners to develop retention activities.
- Supervise RPM staffing, scheduling, and performance and report to the FRTC Director.
- Coordinate recruitment and hiring of new RPMs in partnership with the Operations Liaison.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or an Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, Child Development, Education, or related field AND at least two years professional experience within the child welfare system; OR
- At least 2 years professional experience in program/project management, recruitment or related field, including staff supervision, and at least 2 years within the child welfare system.
- Three years’ professional experience in social services.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care and the complex needs of families in foster care.
- Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); database management experience.
- Ability to travel within the state, including multi‑day/overnight trips (~30%).
- At least two years supervisory experience.
- Five or more years of experience in social services.
- Salary range $55,571–$58,000.
