Substitute hours are paid the month following when the work is completed
Paid training provided: 32 hours classroom training, 20 hours behind-the-wheel training;
District will cover the cost of testing and required physical;
Cost for fingerprinting covered by the district;
District will reimburse CDL licensing fee
*** Degrees eligible for a salary enhancement as follows, regardless of degree program or position with the district (cannot be stacked in the case of multiple degrees (highest degree stipend will be applied)). AA, BA, MA degree, or PhD, adds $0.50/hour, $1.00/hour, $1.50/hour, $2.00/hour, respectively***
Upon reaching 630 hours worked, substitutes will become eligible for and be offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life and AD&D insurance through SEBB
22 years old;
Valid Washington State Drivers License with five years experience as a licensed driver;
High school diploma or equivalent; WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance;
Current first aid/CPR card (training may be provided by District)
Application will require three references. You are encouraged to include letters of recommendation.
The substitute school bus driver will fill vacant routes as needed and is directly responsible to the directors of transportation in the operation of school buses and transporting students to and from school.
