About No Grey Area No Grey Area is a contemporary fashion brand creating elevated menswear and womenswear through thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Inspired by art, culture, travel, and modern occasion dressing, we create collections that balance timeless design with a distinctive point of view.
As we continue to expand across both menswear and womenswear, we are looking for an ambitious Designer who is eager to take ownership, contribute creatively, and help shape the future of the brand.
This is an opportunity to work across the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept through production—while collaborating closely with creative, merchandising, production, and marketing teams.

The Role You will play a key role in designing seasonal menswear and womenswear collections that reflect the No Grey Area aesthetic while remaining commercially relevant.
We are looking for someone who combines strong creative instincts with technical expertise, has an excellent understanding of garment construction and product development, and enjoys working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

This role offers significant opportunity for growth into a Senior Designer or Category Lead position as the brand continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Collection Design  Design and develop seasonal menswear and womenswear collections from concept through final production.
Research global fashion trends, cultural movements, colour direction, fabrics, silhouettes, and consumer behaviour.
Develop seasonal mood boards, colour palettes, print concepts, embroidery stories, and collection presentations.
Create commercially viable collections while maintaining the creative identity of No Grey Area.
Present concepts, design rationale, and seasonal direction to the wider team.

Product Development  Translate sketches into production-ready garments.
Review patterns, fittings, and prototypes to ensure design intent is maintained.
Work closely with pattern makers and production teams to resolve construction and fit challenges.
Prepare and maintain detailed technical packs and development documentation.
Manage style development through PLM software (or equivalent product lifecycle management systems), where applicable.
Ensure products meet brand quality standards across fit, finishing, and construction.

Print, Artwork & Surface Development  Create original prints, graphics, embroideries, illustrations, and surface developments for seasonal collections.
Develop repeat prints, placement artworks, embroidery layouts, and colourways across multiple product categories.
Prepare production-ready artwork files using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Collaborate closely with embroidery, printing, and sampling vendors throughout development.

Digital Design & Visualisation  Support digital garment visualisation and product presentations using CLO 3D (preferred).
Review and manage DXF pattern files.
Assist with digital sample development and presentation assets.
Identify and troubleshoot digital pattern issues before physical sampling.

Fabric, Colour & Trim Development  Research seasonal fabrics, trims, embellishments, and finishing techniques.
Develop seasonal colour palettes using trend forecasting and market insights.
Coordinate lab dips, strike-offs, embroidery developments, and trim approvals.
Ensure consistency across colours, prints, fabrics, and production samples.
Source materials from both domestic and international suppliers.

Vendor & Production Collaboration  Work closely with sampling units, factories, printers, embroiderers, and external vendors.
Conduct factory visits when required to oversee product development and production.
Occasionally travel for sourcing, factory visits, trade shows, and market research.
Ensure timelines, quality standards, and design expectations are consistently achieved.

Cross-Functional Collaboration  Partner with merchandising, production, sales, and marketing teams to align collections with business objectives.
Support campaign shoots, lookbooks, styling, visual merchandising, and product…
