Head of Events

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced  Head – Events  to lead the planning, execution, and management of events across India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale event management, vendor coordination, logistics, budgeting, and team leadership.
The role requires a strategic leader who can deliver seamless events while ensuring operational excellence, effective stakeholder coordination, and a memorable participant experience.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the organization's annual event strategy and calendar.
Plan and oversee conferences, conventions, outreach programs, meetings, and special events across multiple locations.
Lead end-to-end event planning, execution, and post-event evaluation.
Manage event budgets, cost optimization, procurement, and financial controls.
Coordinate with internal departments and regional teams to ensure smooth event execution.
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, venues, and service providers.
Oversee event logistics, travel arrangements, accommodation, transportation, registration, and on-site operations.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies.
Build, mentor, and lead the Events team to achieve operational excellence.
Prepare event reports, performance metrics, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is preferred.
12–18 years of experience in event management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-location events.
Strong expertise in budgeting, vendor management, logistics, and project management.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across India.
