Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Chepstow & Newport. The Electrician will carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in domestic and commercial settings, ensuring all tasks meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Daily responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing troubleshooting on electrical systems, testing and inspecting installations, and completing necessary documentation.

The role involves working with renewable energy systems, collaborating with team members, and communicating clearly with clients to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions.

Qualifications
  • Foundation in electricity principles and electrical engineering, with the ability to apply them safely in practical settings.
  • Proficiency in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and system upgrades in domestic and commercial environments.
  • Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, ensuring equipment remains functional and compliant.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults promptly.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or apprenticeship completion, with current industry-recognized certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
  • Thorough understanding of UK electrical regulations and safety standards, including BS 7671 requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a professional approach to customer service.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally for on-site work.
  • Third year apprentices will also be considered.
